Marcus first picked up a guitar in 2003. Shortly after, a few lessons with Sean Quidgeon got him into playing rock music and anything else with rocking guitar riffs and awesome solos. After a few years of rocking, Marcus sat in with a country artist and then he realized country music was the way to go, and founded his first band, Never Have I Ever. NHIE played rocking county tunes from Jason Aldean, Jake Owen and Brantley Gilbert to name a few. After a few years gigging around the Clinton County Illinois area, Marcus entered the Big Star contest hosted by non other former radio personality, Derrick Keith! Marcus placed well in the contest but was not named the winner. The winner though, Nick Lovelace, won the chance to co-host the pre-party with 92.3 WIL with Derrick Keith and Nick invited Marcus along. Right then, Love and Kruep was formed and the pair opened up the night for the likes of Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban and many more for 2 summers in a row!
The duo played shows all over S Illinois and Missouri and had way too many awesome shows to count. After a few years, Marcus and Nick moved onto other opportunities in music. In 2014, Marcus played more than 250 shows at local bars and birthday parties, sitting in with different artist who would ultimately become great friends. In the following years, shows became more scarce with Marcus' enlistment in the US Army. The Army first sent Marcus to the Republic of Korea where he go the chance to play at the Hard Rock Cafe in the capital city of Seoul. Also in Korea, Marcus' first single, "The Bottle" was released to iTunes, Spotify and more! Today, we're excited to announce a full length album will be available in late 2018! Make sure to make it out to a show near you.
